-April 2015: Envicient´s Ann Marie Manhart conducts a lecture on Sustainability in the Tourism Industry at the FHS (Fachhochschule Salzburg University of Applied Sciences) on the 14th of April.

-May 2015: Envicient together with TU Wien and RMA conducted a Round Table Discussion in Austria’s Ministry of the Environment on the 4th of May. The theme was “Eco-efficiency in the Austrian Food Processing Industry”. It is a kick-off to a nation-wide study assessing how organic waste from the food processing industry can be minimized, optimized, and further used to meet the EU goal of food waste reduction.

-June 2015: Project Assistant Jennifer MacDonald presents the Smart Kitchen project to the Rotaract Club Wien-Stadtpark in the Casinos der Offiziersgesellschaft at Schwarzenbergplatz. Both Rotaract and Rotary International members were present. The Smart Kitchen project is an initiative from the MA-22 to reduce food waste in the gastronomy sector in Vienna.

Project Assistant Jennifer MacDonald at her graduation ceremony in the celebration hall of the TU Wien. She graduated from the ETIA Program with an MSc in Environmental Technology and International Affairs administered by the TU Wien.

-July 2015: Ann Marie Manhart of Envicient conducts a Seminar on Foodwaste and its Environmental Implications in the Young Europeans Citizens’ Convention, Cluny, France on the 14th of July 2015.

-November 2015: Envicient, in cooperation with Pulswerk GmbH, developed the ‘SMART KITCHEN’ project in the framework of the EcoBusinessPlan of the city of Vienna. The project focuses on a tailored training programme for Viennese Kitchen personnel aiming at reducing food waste by applying tools for more efficient uses of ingredients in the kitchen.
The programme was launched through a press conference on 9th November 2015.
